Why us
Everything you want to know.
You don't need to be a leather expert to know what you're buying. Where the bags are made, how the leather is processed, what the guarantee covers — laid out plainly, so you can decide for yourself.

Yes, really Italy
Do our bags really come from Italy?
Yes. Actually made in Italy — no shortcuts, no vague claims. We work with certified Italian workshops, and each bag carries a "Made in Italy" label sewn directly into the lining, as required by US import law.
From raw leather to finished bag, it all happens inside the workshop: cutting, stitching, edge painting, hardware. One place, one pair of hands at a time.
Materials we use
Full grain first. Always.
Most of our bags are made from full grain calfskin or suede — the highest quality part of the hide, known for its strength, softness, and natural finish. Many styles feature a pebbled texture: it hides scratches, holds its shape, and gets a more tactile, lived-in feel over time.
Suede
Soft and velvety, with internal reinforcement.
Animal-print suede
Subtle python or leopard embossing.
Metallic leather
Bold and reflective, without losing softness.
Woven suede
A richly textured alternative to flat suede.
All sourced and finished in Italy.

Tanning & transparency
How raw leather becomes your bag
We use chrome-tanned leather — a modern method that makes the leather soft, flexible, and highly resistant to moisture and color fading. It's the most common method used by Italian tanneries today, for good reason.
Vegetable tanning is often praised as the more "natural" option, but it's slower, more rigid, and reacts to water and sun more dramatically. Our choice was simple: the best leather for everyday bags that need to last, move, and age well — without excessive maintenance.

Everyday use & care
Made to be used. Not just admired.
Full grain leather is naturally durable and treated to resist moisture and color fading — fine for daily wear, even in humid or rainy climates. It's still a natural material, so a little care goes a long way:
- If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally — never near heat.
- Condition occasionally with a neutral leather cream; skip oils and dyes.
- Store it in a soft cloth bag to avoid scuffs from sharp objects.
You don't need to baby these bags. Treat them well and they'll outlast trends.
Leather terms, explained
The words on the tag, in plain language.
Full grain
The highest-quality part of the hide, not sanded. The fibers stay intact — that's where the longevity and character come from.
Pebbled
Full grain with a raised, textured surface. Soft, scratch-resistant, and keeps its shape beautifully through daily use.
Suede
Velvety texture from the inner side of the hide. Soft and elegant, but asks for a bit more care.
Metallic
A full grain base with a foil finish. Shimmering and bold, still soft and flexible, treated to avoid cracking or peeling.
Woven suede
Hand-woven texture adds structure and visual interest — still soft, but more dimensional.
Metallic suede
Velvety texture meets a metallic overlay. Delicate in look, durable in construction.
Full grain vs. the rest
Not all "real leather" lasts the same. Here's the ladder, top to bottom.
What we use
Full grain
The strongest, most natural cut. The grain is untouched, so it ages beautifully and develops a rich patina over time. The gold standard for bags that last years.
One step down
Top grain
Slightly sanded or buffed to remove imperfections. Still durable, but less breathable and long-lasting than full grain, with a more uniform look.
The budget tier
Genuine
Real leather, but usually from the lower, more processed layers of the hide. It won't develop the same patina or offer the longevity of full grain.
For bags that last years, full grain is the gold standard. That's why we use it.
